Hi! I’m Meg Aki (they/them) and I’m an artist, illustrator, and coach, and the founder of Curioko Studio.

I spent the last decade of my career collaborating with local governments, nonprofits, and businesses to help our communities become resilient to the impacts of our changing climate. Now, I’m returning to the source of my childhood dreams as an artist, maker, creator of things - in pursuit of bringing much needed joy, beauty, and wonder to the surface of the stories we tell about the futures we are dreaming of together.

Along this journey, I realized the moments that bring me the most joy are when I help someone organize their internal chaos by removing obstacles and freeing up their energy for the work that matters most to them.

I created Curioko Studio as a space to organize my passions and dreams as an artist and mentor. “Curio” refers to this business as a curio cabinet, a place where seemingly disparate parts are placed just so to create a cohesive and aesthetic whole. “Ko” is word play on being a company and a nod to my Japanese heritage, where this character means “child.” Through this endeavor, I seek to embrace my own childlike wonder and support you in doing the same.

Let’s make space for curiosity and joy in your processes as a creative business owner. Together, we will reduce the day-to-day chaos and build room for you to realize your biggest dreams.

As your Curio-Coach, I will work with you to streamline and organize your business and creative practice in ways that are both practical and celebrate your unique needs and capacities. I offer individualized coaching sessions where we will identify the primary points of friction getting in the way of flow and hands-on support setting up new systems and process improvements (digital, physical, and mental).

Together, we will create your own creative curio cabinet of operational systems, techniques, and tools where each aspect of your creative practice and business has it’s place to shine.
